Yesterday, my dinner was made almost completely by frozen ingredients. Freezer can be a great helper in the kitchen! I used fresh tagliatelle which I made a while ago and put in the freezer (here the recipe: www.tittifood.com/post/fresh-homemade-tagliatelle), frozen salmon fillet, frozen peas.

Ingredients for 3:
450 gr frozen salmon fillet
70 gr forzen peas
a portion of tagliatelle each person (details: www.tittifood.com/post/fresh-homemade-tagliatelle)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
250 gr leek
3 tablespoon cream
100 ml hot water
black pepper and salt

Chop the leeks; pour the oil in a big pan on gentle heat, add leeks, pinch of salt. Add the hot water, cover with the lid and simmer for 10 minutes. Then, place the salmon on top, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, if salmon thawed, otherwise for 20 minutes.
Remove the salmon and simmer on higher heat to remove the excess of water.
Add the cream and the peas. In the meantime, break the salmon and put it back in the pan. Add black pepper.
Bring to boil some water. Take out the freezer the tagliatelle at the last moment. Cook for the last minute the tagliatelle in the pan with the sauce to blend all the flavours.
Plate it and enjoy it :)
